It is not our policy to check work for copyright infringement or plagiarism, and thus we cannot be held responsible for plagiarized content in a customer’s work in its original submitted or edited form. Further, individual customers are responsible for determining whether their institution considers any part of their work as submitted to us or edited by us plagiarized or likely to lead to charges of plagiarism. In teaching institutions, we cannot be held liable or responsible for grades or academic penalties related to charges of plagiarism, or to academic institutions which make such charges. We cannot be held responsible for penalizations due to plagiarism. Submitted work remains the exclusive property of the customer, though we request the right to occasionally post or utilize such work as examples of our editing in a manner respecting the anonymity and privacy of our customers. Customers may request that their works not be used as samples.

The Formatting Formula respects the intellectual property of others. If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact our office.

Data Transfer

The Formatting Formula transfers data via the Internet using mail software and other interfaces proven reliable. Data transferred includes personal information that must be verified and documents contained in common word processing formats. We assume that our customers are familiar with these common interfaces and know how to send, receive, and open attachments. In the event of a system failure or technical knowledge failure at the customer end, the Formatting Formula cannot be held responsible for the timely completion of work. Potential failures include, but are not limited to, incorrect purchaser information (email address, etc.) or purchaser credit card information, problems with file transfer, incorrect formatting guidelines uploaded by a client, or customer problems opening or printing files. We will, in the event of any such problems, endeavor to remedy them. For example, we/you download/upload a document to be formatted; we will not publicly distribute or display the document without your consent. Make sure you have the necessary rights to grant us this license for any content that you submit to our Services.

Documents downloaded/uploaded to our system will be held for the term of our formatting services until distributed to the customer for review and approval. Upon approval and payment, all documents will be either deleted or archived in our system depending on the customer’s request.

You can find more information about how Formatting Formula uses and stores content in the Privacy Policy or additional terms for particular Services. If you submit feedback or suggestions about our Services, we may use your feedback or suggestions without obligation to you.

Electronic Communications

When you use any of our Services, or send emails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will communicate with you by email or by posting notices on this site. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

Services

The Formatting Formula services are defined as formatting documents, performing a quality check/quality control (QC) of documents and/or troubleshooting issues with documents with regard to formatting, but not limited to those listed. We reserve the right to modify our services and service prices at any time.

Software In Our Services

To utilize our Services  requires you to upload documents using a mutually agreed upon file transfer process. Formatting Formula gives you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-assignable and non-exclusive license to use the software provided as a part of the Services. This license is for the sole purpose of enabling you to use and enjoy the benefit of the Services as provided by the Formatting Formula, in the manner permitted by these terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Services or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software, unless laws prohibit those restrictions or you have written permission.

Modifying Our Services

We are constantly changing and improving our Services. We may add or remove functionalities or features to improve your experience.

Disclaimer

You understand that The Formatting Formula cannot and does not guarantee or warrant that files available for downloading from the Internet will be free of viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or other code that may manifest contaminating or destructive properties. Security

Any passwords used for this Site are for individual use only. You will be responsible for the security of your password (if any). The Formatting Formula will be entitled to monitor your password and, at its discretion, require you to change it. If you use a password that The Formatting Formula considers insecure, The Formatting Formula will be entitled to require the password to be changed and/or terminate your account.

You are prohibited from using any services or facilities provided in connection with this Site to compromise security or tamper with system resources and/or accounts. The use or distribution of tools designed for compromising security (e.g., password guessing programs, cracking tools, or network probing tools) is strictly prohibited. By accepting these terms you waive and hold harmless The Formatting Formula from any claims resulting from any action taken by The Formatting Formula during or as a result of its investigations and/or from any actions taken as a consequence of investigations by either The Formatting Formula or law enforcement authorities.

Refunds, Cancellations, and Billing Policy

All products, with the exception of the monthly services, are backed by a 30 day money‑back guarantee as stated on the website.

The Formatting Formula has the right to change the refund policy at any time, but it will be reflected on future orders, not past orders.

If a digital product is purchased, a refund request email must be sent to our office in order for a refund to be processed. Send the email request to support@formattingformula.com. Be sure to include ALL of your contact information: Full Name, email and the name of the product/service you wish to have refunded. This is to prevent fraudulent orders.

Please allow 5 to 15 business days for a refund to post to your account. Transaction times depend on the policies of your bank or credit card companies. In cases of changed or expired credit cards repayment may be subject to alternative means.

In the case of monthly products and/or services, you have 30 days to try the product and/or service. You are under no obligation to continue use of our Services during the trial period and may cancel at any time by contacting support and requesting a cancellation of your subscription. Monthly products and/or services are not backed by a money-back guarantee.

If you decide to cancel, we will inform the credit card company to stop any further charges to your credit card pertaining to the subscription.

Miscellaneous

These Terms will be governed and interpreted pursuant to the laws of Delaware, United States of America, notwithstanding any principles of conflicts of law. You specifically consent to personal jurisdiction in Delaware in connection with any dispute between you and The Formatting Formula  arising out of these Terms or pertaining to the subject matter hereof. The parties to these Terms each agree that the exclusive venue for any dispute between the parties arising out of these Terms or pertaining to the subject matter of these Terms will be in the state and federal courts in New Castle County, Delaware . If any part of these Terms is unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that part will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. These Terms constitute the entire agreement among the parties relating to this subject matter. Notwithstanding the foregoing, any additional terms and conditions on this Site will govern the items to which they pertain. The Formatting Formula may revise these Terms at any time by updating this posting. This agreement sets forth the entire understanding and agreement between you and The Formatting Formula with respect to the subject matter hereof.
